Have you ever stopped to consider why you do what you do? I want you to take a good look at all aspects of your life. What do you notice? Every part of your life now, was once a choice. And when you were deciding what to choose, you will have had reasons for following that particular path. So how connected are you to those reasons right now? Or do you sometimes feel like you are just going through the motions?

I ask for a very good reason. I have just been doing some marketing training with Frank Kern (well worth a Google if you haven’t come across him before!). What struck me most in his presentations is his absolute clarity of knowing why he does what he does. And now I can’t but help ask myself “why am I doing all of this, and does it even matter?”

The answer comes immediately and is a whole hearted yes! Living an Inspired Life isn’t a job or a brand, it is a way of being in the world. It is the scrumptious and juicy passion that comes from being alive.. and awake! Of course there are some bumps along the way – that is the diversity that creates depth and richness to our experiences. But I get to do work that I love, with people that I love and make an income and hopefully a difference along the way!

So what about you? Why do you do what you do? If you know your purpose and it fires you up, keep doing what you are doing, but if your response either falls in the “not really sure” category or anything in the vicinity of “it pays the bills“, then you are not yet Living an Inspired Life!

Would you like it to be different? Then it is time to tap into your purpose!

Here are some power questions that you may want to consider:

If you knew that success was the only option, what would you do?
If you could be or do or have anything that you want, what would it be?
If money was no object, then what would you choose?

You don’t need to have instant answers. In fact, it works even better to allow these to naturally evolve. You may be surprised at the ideas that pop up!

I think having a purpose is the inspirational force in our lives. It doesn’t have to be grand designs, sometimes the smallest steps are the most effective. You don’t need to be anything else than the authentic, real and inspired version of you – that is what will make the biggest difference! That is all that really matters!
